Privacy Policy for Jacomelli Marketing

Last updated · 30 April 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This notice explains what personal information Jacomelli Marketing uses, why we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to be clear, practical and easy to come back to.

01About us

Jacomelli Marketing is an independent consultancy that works with a small roster of brands on strategy, creative and campaign work. When you visit the site or contact us professionally, we are the data controller responsible for the personal information you choose to share.

Business name: Jacomelli Marketing
Address: 7 Vann Bridge Close, Fernhurst, Haslemere GU27 3NA, United Kingdom
Email: hello@jacomelli.com
Phone: +44 7865 072983

02What we collect

We only collect information in a few straightforward ways: when you contact us by email or choose to use the contact page, when your browser requests pages and assets from the site, and when we work together as a client, partner or supplier. Depending on the interaction, this can include:

  • Your name and contact details, such as your email address and phone number.
  • The brand or business you represent, and any project or enquiry details you choose to share.
  • The contents of your enquiry, email and any follow-up correspondence.
  • Limited technical request data, such as IP address, browser type and page or asset requests.

03Why we use it

We use personal data for a small number of specific purposes:

  • To review and reply to enquiries you send us. Where you contact us about possible work, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and, in some cases, our legitimate interests in managing business enquiries.
  • To deliver agreed marketing or consultancy services and manage client relationships. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract and, where needed, compliance with legal obligations such as accounting and record-keeping.
  • To display, secure and troubleshoot the public website and its assets. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running a secure, functional brochure site.

At the moment, the contact page prepares a message in your own email app rather than sending your enquiry through a server-side web form.

04Who sees it

Your information is never sold or rented. We only share it where that is needed to run the site, respond to enquiries or deliver work. Relevant recipients or recipient categories can include:

  • Email and communications providers, when you contact us by email and when we receive or respond to your message.
  • Website hosting, infrastructure and site-delivery providers, where they help us make the site or its assets available and secure.
  • Google, where public pages request web fonts from Google Fonts.
  • Trusted project collaborators or professional advisers, but only where this is genuinely needed to deliver work or manage the business.

Any partner we work with is expected to handle data carefully and in line with the standards that apply to them.

05Data sent overseas

Some services connected to the site or to our communications may involve processing outside the UK or the EEA, including in the United States. This can happen, for example, where external providers help deliver email, infrastructure or web assets.

Where that happens, we rely on a recognised safeguard such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. If you would like more detail about the safeguard relevant to your information, email hello@jacomelli.com and we can point you in the right direction.

06How long we keep it

We hold on to personal data only for as long as there is a genuine reason to:

  • General enquiries are kept for up to 12 months.
  • Client records are retained for up to 6 years after a project wraps, in line with legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

07Your rights

Data protection law gives you a number of rights over the information we hold about you. These can include the right to:

  • Ask to access, correct or update your personal data.
  • Ask us to erase or restrict personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Request a portable copy of the information you have provided to us, where applicable.
  • Object to processing we rely on legitimate interests for.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object to that processing. If we ever rely on consent for a specific optional activity, you will also be able to withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@jacomelli.com and we’ll come back to you promptly.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority. Information about how to do this is available at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/data-protection-complaints/, or you can contact the ICO on 0303 123 1113.
